How to find and download Canva invoices and receipts
Where Canva keeps your invoices, how to download a year of them, how team billing works for Canva Business and Canva Teams, and how to add your business name and tax ID.
Canva invoices are easy to find once you know where they live, and easy to miss if you're on a team or bought through the mobile app. Here's where Canva keeps them, how to round up a year, and the details that trip people up on team plans.
Short answer In Canva, select your profile, choose Settings and open the Orders and invoices tab. Find the purchase, select More and choose Download invoice to get a PDF. You can search by invoice ID or filter by date. Canva also emails a copy of the invoice every time it charges you. If you subscribed through the Canva mobile app, your invoice comes from Apple or Google instead.
Where Canva sends invoices
Canva emails an invoice every time it charges you, to your account email or your billing email address. The email has a View Details link that opens your Orders and invoices page.
If you subscribed in the Canva mobile app, the purchase went through Apple or Google, and the receipt is in your confirmation email from Apple or Google rather than in Canva's Orders and invoices tab.
Finding a past invoice
On a computer:
- From the Canva homepage, select your profile icon.
- Choose Settings.
- Open the Orders and invoices tab.
- Find the purchase, select More, then Download invoice. The invoice downloads as a PDF.
In the mobile app: go to the More tab, choose Settings, then Orders and invoices. Find the purchase, tap More and choose View or Download invoice.
Canva says it's rolling out navigation changes gradually, and its help pages use both View invoice and Download invoice for this step, so expect small differences. If you can't see your profile on the homepage, look under More.
Print orders are listed in the same place, and you can filter the list by type to show only those.
What a Canva invoice shows
The invoice shows the invoice number, what you bought, the amount and any tax, plus the billing name and address on your account. Print add-ons such as envelopes can appear as separate lines, but the order total is what you were charged.
Matching a card charge. Canva charges appear on your bank statement as CANVA* followed by the invoice number. Canva invoice numbers have five digits starting with 0, a hyphen, then seven to nine more digits, for example CANVA*01234-1234567. Search Orders and invoices for that number to find the matching invoice.
Paid with PayPal? Find the transaction in your PayPal activity. The seller is Canva Pty Limited (or Canva UK Operations Limited in the UK).
Got a "Request for Payment" invoice? Canva says that usually means your payment method failed or the payment hasn't finished processing. It's a bill, not a receipt.
Getting a whole year of Canva invoices
- Filter in Settings. In Orders and invoices, filter by date to show the tax year and download each invoice. On a monthly plan, that's twelve PDFs.
- Search your email. In Gmail,
from:canva.com (invoice OR receipt) after:2025/01/01 before:2026/01/01covers a calendar year. More Gmail searches for receipts. - Check Apple or Google. For subscriptions bought in the mobile app, look in your App Store or Google Play purchase history instead.
Canva Business and Canva Teams
Canva's paid team plan is now Canva Business. Canva Teams is no longer open to new sign-ups or upgrades, but existing Teams subscribers keep it, and their invoices are in the same Orders and invoices tab.
A few things to know on a team plan:
- Members only see their own purchases. Only team administrators can see every invoice for purchases made by the team. If you're a member and need the company's invoices, ask an admin.
- Check you're on the right team. If invoices seem to be missing, select your profile and check which team has the check mark. Switch teams under Switch team.
- Yearly doesn't always mean one invoice. On yearly Canva Business plans, Canva says it sends a bill every three months, which picks up any seats or people added since the last one. So a yearly plan can produce more than one invoice a year.
- Seats can add charges. On plans billed by seats, a seat can be added when you invite someone and there's no empty seat, even before they accept. Remove unused seats before your billing date if you want a smaller next bill.
Business tips
- Add your business name, address and tax ID. Go to Settings, then Billing. In the Billing details section, select Add or Update and fill in Invoice information. You can add a tax ID there too. Canva's billing details page says changes apply to future invoices, so do this before your next renewal. On teams, only owners and administrators can change billing details.
- A tax ID isn't a tax exemption. Adding one puts the number on your invoices but doesn't stop tax being charged. Canva handles exemptions through support.
- Add your bookkeeper as a billing contact. Canva lets you add extra billing contacts who receive invoice notifications.
- Pay for the business plan with a business card. It keeps the invoice and the card statement on the same side of your books.
Doing it with What Receipt?
Canva emails an invoice with every charge, so connecting Gmail to What Receipt? brings them in automatically, or you can forward them to your personal What Receipt? address from any mailbox. Each one is read for vendor, date, total and tax. Pro's recurring-charge detection learns the pattern of your Canva plan and alerts you when an expected charge goes missing. Import a past year catches up on a whole tax year at once.
